Dear those who believe that Saturday mornings can be great!
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new NLP Morning@Lohika. The event will take place on 9th of July.
The majority of the data nowadays is produced in unstructured formats. With ongoing globalization, as well as emerging trends like personal assistants and conversational interfaces, Natural Language Processing has become a hugely important topic both in industry and academia.
The event will consist of two parts:
1. Essential Machine Learning background for NLP.
Without the understanding of Machine Learning basics, it would be hard to grasp the modern state-of-the-art approaches to language processing. We'll cover the most important topics relevant to NLP: feature engineering, model selection, training, evaluation and troubleshooting, especially for Supervised Learning applications. Then we'll discuss Deep Learning and see what it has to offer.
2. NLP challenges and approaches.
We'll outline the commonly occurring tasks in NLP, from easy to hard, and explore the ways to tackle them with Machine Learning methods. We'll cover both classical and Deep Learning approaches. You can expect tools, code and demos here as well.
Speaker:
Yuriy Guts
Data Science Team Lead at Ciklum, with over 10 years of data analytics, R&D and software engineering background. Yuriy has been doing NLP for a living, and has taught several Machine Learning courses in Ukraine. He is a frequent speaker at technology conferences and local community meetups.
We are waiting for you at Lohika conference hall, Lviv, Lemkivska 15, 2 floor.
Registration starts at 9:30 AM.
Let's make our Saturday morning great!
